Road Safety Awareness and Enforcement Drive Conducted Across Morigaon District
To prevent road accidents and promote awareness on road safety and traffic regulations, the District Road Safety Committee, under the supervision of District Commissioner Anamika Tewari and Additional District Commissioner Nitisha Bora, has been conducting road safety awareness drives across various parts of Morigaon district.As part of this initiative, a road safety awareness drive was organised today to sensitise commuters and the general public about the importance of following traffic rules and adopting safe driving practices to ensure safer roads for all.A signature campaign was also conducted during the programme, where citizens pledged their commitment towards road safety by signing the message, “I Promise to Abide by Road Safety Norms.” Drivers, students, shopkeepers, and pedestrians participated enthusiastically in the campaign and expressed their support for responsible road behaviour.Alongside the awareness activities, enforcement drives against riding without helmets and drunken driving were carried out. Officials conducted vehicle checks and appealed to motorists to strictly adhere to traffic regulations for their own safety as well as that of fellow road users.
